HCC Salutes 3rd Annual Minorities in Construction Luncheon

HOUSTON [July 17, 2017] – The Houston Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) Business Center, operated by Houston Community College (HCC), is proud to present the 3rd Annual Salute to Minorities in Construction luncheon.

The event will be held on Tuesday, July 18, 2017, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Junior League of Houston, 1811 Briar Oaks Lane, Houston, Texas 77027. This year’s honoree will be William P. Sanchezpresident of Oxford Builders, Inc. The Honorable Sylvester Turner, mayor of Houston, will deliver the keynote address.

This gala event recognizes clients of the MBDA, as well as organizations and companies that support minority-owned construction firms.  Sanchez will receive the Houston MBDA Construction Client of the Year award.  Awards also will be given in other categories, including Construction Trailblazer, Client of the Year and Corporate Advocate of the Year. A reception will precede the luncheon at 10:45 a.m. and is open to all attendees.

The luncheon, now in its third year, provides a forum to help celebrate an important part of Houston’s business ecosystem. Proceeds from the event help support the vital work of MBDA in the Houston region. Tickets begin at $100 and are available at
